GP's worried about Medical Negligence within our hospitals

Stuart Bramley of medical negligence specialists Tozers LLP observes:

"Elsewhere in the same edition of the Daily Mail there is a report on what is described as the 'compensation culture' but this article gives an entirely different picture. The view that many patients complain about their treatment in hospital for entirely spurious or sometimes trivial reasons is undermined by this study which shows widespread concern by General Practitioners about hospital care. My own experience reflects this, with my clients telling me of instances of very substandard health provision. Those who bemoan the compensation culture should read the studies showing that for every single legal claim for medical negligence there are between 8 and 10 similar examples which never come to light".

Should you or a family member wish to discuss a potential claim for medical negligence, please call Tozers' medical negligence team for a free and confidential consultation.

You can contact us by telephone (0800 013 2285), email, post, fax or complete one of our online enquiry forms - Medical Negligence or Personal Injury. Our offices are open Monday to Friday 8:45am to 5pm.
