Tim Dyde is a partner and head of the medical negligence team and conducts all types of medical negligence cases.  He specialises in claims for children, including cerebral palsy, Erb's palsy, misdiagnosis of cancer, fatal accident claims and psychiatric injury cases.  He also advises on the duties of local authorities in relation to statements of special educational needs for children and young people, as well as their duties to provide care and assistance both within clients' own homes and in local authority accommodation.

In addition to being a solicitor, Tim is a fully-qualified Registered General Nurse, having years of experience in major London teaching hospitals, which has given him a valuable insight into medical negligence cases.

Tim has built up one of the region's most successful medical negligence teams and the firm now acts for clients in the South-West and nationally.  He is also a member of the specialist Law Society's Clinical Negligence Panel and the firm is a member of AvMA, a charity which has a key role in championing patients' interests.

Tim is recognised as a leader in his field by Chambers UK 2011. The Legal 500 2010 comments as follows: "Tozers LLP is representing five clients affected by procedures at the same hospital. Tony Mills is a partner and has over 20 years' experience in injury work and undertakes a broad range of cases including fatal accidents, birth injuries, inappropriate accident and emergency treatment as well as surgical and GP negligence.  He also deals in injuries arising as a result of child abuse, inappropriate professional standards and accidents at work.  He is a member of the specialist Law Society Personal Injury Panel APIL; the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers and of ACAL the Association of Child Abuse Lawyers

Endurance Arthur is a Partner and has specialised in medical negligence cases on behalf of claimants since qualifying as a solicitor in 1995. Endurance has a degree in physiology and handles all types of medical negligence work and has a particular interest in brachial plexus palsy, cerebral palsy, delay in diagnosis and treatment of cancers, vascular surgery, cardiac surgery, gynaecology and neurological injuries. Stuart Bramley is a partner and has specialised in medical law and medical negligence claims since 1992. He has worked for both claimant and defendant firms and therefore has an invaluable insight into how the opponent thinks.  He handles a wide variety of claims with a particular interest in fatal accident cases and infection claims, including MRSA and Group B Strep and is one of only two solicitors in the UK on the legal panel of the charity Group B Strep Support. 

Stuart has appeared as an advocate in over 200 coroners' inquests and is one of the most experienced inquest advocates in England and Wales.  He is a member of the pressure group "Inquest" which campaigns for change in coronial law.

Clair Hemming is an associate solicitor and has specialised in medical negligence claims since qualification in 2001.   Clair is a member of the Law Society’s Clinical Negligence Panel and handles all types of medical negligence claims.  Clair has extensive experience of acting for children in birth related injuries, including brachial plexus palsy and brain damage. Clair also has a particular interest in claims involving spinal damage, fatal accidents, cardiology and a delay in the diagnosis or treatment of cancer.  Clair acts for a large number of children and young adult claimants.

Simon Mansfield qualified into the medical negligence department in 2011 after completing his training contract at Tozers. Prior to that he studied history at the University of East Anglia and the Legal Practice Course at the University of Plymouth in 2009.

Simon handles a wide range of medical negligence cases but has developed an interest in birth injury claims, fatal accident claims, claims involving a delay in diagnosis or treatment of cancers and psychiatric injury cases.

Tim studied Law at Cardiff University, where he also completed his Legal Practice Course. He joined Tozers in 2009 as a paralegal in the Clinical Negligence Team. He completed his Training Contract with Tozers and qualified as a solicitor in 2012.

Tim handles a wide variety of medical negligence claims, with a particular interest in Cerebral Palsy, negligent surgery and fatal accident claims.

Outside of work, Tim loves his sport, mainly football and golf.

Michelle Beckett is an experienced Paralegal, having joined Tozers in March 2009. She is currently training to be a Legal Executive having graduated with a Law degree in 2007 and completing her Legal Practice Course in 2008. She has a special interest in missed infection, missed cancer and birth injury claims.

Before starting on a career in law Lisa Whitmore worked for the NHT Trust for approximately 3½ years and then a further 2½ years for a GP surgery. Following this she spent 3 years at Exeter University where Lisa graduated in 2009 with a 2:1 honours degree in Law. Lisa then completed the LPC at Plymouth University and passed this with a commendation.

Lisa's interest in clinical negligence stems from her 'medical' background and she enjoys combining her medical and legal knowledge in her work.
